A pair of Jimmy Choos is possibly on every fashion girl’s wishlist. The ultra-sexy, beautifully designed shoes are what make Jimmy Choo one of the most coveted accessory brands. The fashion house’s latest fragrance, Fever, was created by perfumers Nathalie Lorson and Honorine Blanc and inspired by an adventurous and exciting night out.
“We wanted to work this fragrance in a floral and addictive way, to evoke the magnetic night-time universe and arouse femininity and sensuality,” they explained.
Fever is a hypnotic floral gourmand scent that explores the sweet and addictive allure of plum nectar. The only thing you need after a spritz is a pair of gold Jimmy Choos!
This time the signature Jimmy Choo cocoon shaped bottle is crafted in plum-lacquered glass.
The square lid is a rich plum shade and is edged with gold. The whole thing is really sultry and decadent but also has somewhat of a classic (Studio 54) feel to it.
Fever opens with rich syrupy notes of black plum nectar, sweet lychee and bitter grapefruit. Powdery heliotrope is blended with warm notes of jasmine and vanilla orchid at the heart. The heart is a sensual, velvety mix of creamy sandalwood, tonka bean, benzoin and roasted almonds. The addition of roasted almonds is so incredibly unique and gives the fragrance a dreamy, decadent dry-down.
I really love this fragrance. Fever is somewhat familiar but really glamorous and sensual. The blend of the rich plum with the warm florals and soft base notes gives Fever a delectably sweet edge that takes me back to syrupy, heady perfumes I used to wear in the 2000s. It is an Eau de Parfum and the wear is 6 hours+. Fever is the perfect night-time scent.
You can get your hands on Jimmy Choo’s Fever at selected retailers where it retails for R1310 for 100mL.
Until next time
