{BEAUTY NEWS} | Estee Lauder’s First South African Stand-Alone and Why You Should Go 1

Hi beauties. Last week Estee Lauder opened it’s very first, permanent stand-alone store in South Africa. I was so fortunate and proud to have been there to experience the opening. The sophisticated little store is in Menlyn, Pretoria and today I am going to give you a few reasons why you should go.

The Prestige and Achievement

If I’m not mistaken, Estee Lauder has had a presence in South Africa for 40 years now and this is the very first store that is completely its own and not a counter in or attached to a department store. Just like the fierce Estee did when she started her brand in 1948, the South African team is still shattering expectations. We are in a time when terms like “Junk Status” are thrown around and there’s a lot of uncertainty and impossibility. Here is a huge, internationally renowned brand saying that “we believe in you!”

The Personal Touch

The store is all about you! Everything is designed and everyone is trained to make sure that your experience and purchases are uniquely you. The artists will help you pick the perfect colours to compliment your skin tone and the skincare experts will make sure you know your skin type and exactly what you need for it. At the fragrance wall, you will be introduced to perfumes that contain notes and scents that you love and the nifty iMatch device will make sure that the foundation you buy matches your skin tone exactly.

The Skincare is Unparalleled

Estee Lauder is renowned for its stellar range of skincare products. After all, crafting luxurious and efficient skincare was Estee Lauder’s dream when she started this company. Their Advanced Night Repair is simply iconic and Re-Nutriv and DayWear are just as famous. We even got a new DayWear Matte this year, specifically formulated for African skin. You can read my review for that here. There are products for every skin concern and the price point is quite fair for a luxury skincare brand.

The Fragrances

If you’ve been reading my blog and following me for a while now, you will know that my weakness is perfume. At Estee Lauder I am like a kid in a candy store! The fragrances are beautiful and celebrated and there is something for everyone. My favourite is Modern Muse but for the night time I love Modern Muse Le Rouge Gloss. If you prefer something much stronger there’s Cinnabar and if you’d like something fresher and more classic you will adore Pure White Linen. There’s a modest but varied selection and if that doesn’t really excite you then they have the entire dreamy AERIN collection of luxury fragrances. Chic bottles filled with the most indulgent of floral infusions and topped with a gem stopper. How can you not fall in love?

The Brand is Forever Evolving

Estee Lauder is continuously changing and progressing to suit the era but does this while still staying true to the feel and essence of the brand. Their newest Pure Color Love #LoveLipRemix campaign features an edgy Kendall Jenner and encourages you to create fun and quirky lip looks by mixing and matching the lipsticks. The Pure Color lipsticks, however, still come in elegant gold and navy tubes. I love how Estee Lauder looks to a new consumer base without isolating those who have used and loved the brand for ages. The balance is quite difficult to achieve but Estee Lauder does it so effortlessly.

I hope you visit the new Estee Lauder stand-alone store and fall in love just like I did!

If you can’t quite make it to Pretoria just yet, you can shop online at esteelauder.co.za
