Wedding season is almost here and today I have a review for a fragrance that is just perfect for the festivities! Oscar de la Renta’s latest perfume, Bella Blanca, is a beautiful blend of white flowers – perfectly sophisticated and just right for those sweltering days and balmy evenings.
The bottle is TO DIE FOR! It is exquisitely covered in three dimensional white flowers, sort of evocative of the flower wall backdrops so common at weddings recently.
Even the white box is embossed with flowers.
The rest of the detailing is in a soft gold, delicately branded in small print. I’m a total sucker for beautiful packaging and Bella Blanca is everything I could want!
The fragrance opens with wet freesias and a gentle, fruity pop of cassis, mandarin and pear. The heart is a stunning, floral bouquet of violet leaves, jasmine sambac, white roses and dewy muguet. Ambrox, buttery sandalwood and peach skin and cashmere musks make up the velvety base.
Bella Blanca is a clean, sophisticated scent. It begins fresh and floral and has a powdery dry down, very reminiscent of classic, bloomy perfumes. It doesn’t have heavy, decadent notes but is indulgent in its own right.
Bella Blanca not something I’d necessarily go for myself but it is incredibly beautiful nonetheless. It’s the perfect, soft, pleasant scent for the summer wedding guest. You can pick up a bottle exclusively at Dischem where it retails for ZAR1410 (100mL) and ZAR1005 (50mL). Time to save up those points 😉
Until next time
