Moschino is just everything I look for in a fashion label; prestige and reputation but also unconventional, experimental fun. So, you can imagine my delight when I got to attend the launch of their eyewear collection recently.
We gathered at the decadent Arque Bar in the heart of Sandton City’s renowned and glamorous Diamond Walk. It was a glitzy affair from start to end with a charming impression of golden floral bears, mini chocolate filled crepe cakes inspired by Moschino Stars, a fashion illustrator and a brilliant avant-garde performance by Dear Ribane.
The eyewear collection, brought in by the Safilo Group, is true to the Moschino brand in the finest way. The shapes range from round and square to the classic cat-eye in shades of black and tortoise-shell to blush pink and cherry red.
The magic is in the details, though, with gold hardware, metal studs, chain embellishments, little pins and the Moschino bear. There’s something for everyone, from subtle classic pieces to fun, edgier styles.
The collection will be available from late March at select eyewear boutiques and high-end optometrists.
This is definitely one eyewear collection no style maven wants to miss!
