Hi babes! Today I’m going to be doing a little review for the sultry Gold Seduction from Women’Secret. It has already won Best Feminine Masstige Perfume at the Spanish Perfume Academy this year and is fast becoming a favourite. Gold Seduction is exclusive to Foschini (selected stores and online) and retails for just R455 for 100mL! That is an absolute bargain for an eau de parfum and Gold Seduction’s packaging and feel makes it the perfect gift.
The idea of Gold Seduction is one of sensuality, glamour and charm. It is for the person whose allure is unapologetically sexy and magnetic. This begins with the packaging that is covered in gold glitter. The bottle is the same clear bell shaped flacon as the 3 previous Women Secret fragrances (read my review here) but the stopper is peppered with flecks of gold glitter. The amber liquid inside also has a hint of shimmer and the bottle is decorated with a huge sparkly gold bow. It sounds absurd and gaudy in theory but it truly works and is really so dazzling and glamorous.
The gourmand fragrance bursts open with pops of raspberry, bergamot, lemon and mandarin. Sweet peach blends with jasmine and white flowers at the heart while the base is a warm fusion of vanilla, patchouli, cashmeran and creamy cedar musk. I swear I can get lovely hints of coffee and tonka when I wear this but these aren’t in the notes.
The effect is really warm, sultry and sweet. Gold Seduction embodies charisma, glamour and magnetism perfectly. It is truly luxurious and reminds me a little of Black Opium by YSL. The wear is 6 hours+ and the syrupiness really does linger.
