From this specific post I’ve tried a few of the products. The Protective Moisturiser is simply wonderful, especially if your skin is a little oily. I also LOVE using the Cooling Shaving gel on my legs.

Most men, me included, don’t realise the importance of looking after their skin. For the longest time, there has been a resistance and a misconception that skincare was only for women. That idea is completely ridiculous and out-dated. But where do we begin?
The starting point of any skincare regime is comprised of 2 basic products, an exfoliating scrub and a moisturiser. For me, these products come in the form of the NIVEA MEN Originals Exfoliating Face Scrub and the NIVEA MEN Originals Protective Moisturiser SPF 15. Fortunately for those of us that are rather forgetful, it is not necessary to use the Exfoliating Face Scrub every day. It is suggested that the Scrub be used 3 times a week. The Exfoliating Face Scrub helps to clean and unblock pores and removes any dry skin from the face. Combining the Exfoliating Face Scrub with the Protective Moisturiser provides a great source of moisture to the face. Also, the Protective Moisturiser does contain SPF, which; needless to say; is absolutely imperative especially if you don’t want a leathery face and to age 500 years in just 1 year.
For those with oily skin, NIVEA has provided the NIVEA MEN Oil Control Multi Effect Face Wash and NIVEA MEN Oil Control Multi Effect Gel Moisturiser. The NIVEA MEN Oil Control Multi Effect Face Wash contains a formulation of Carnitine, Salicylic Acid Technology and Mineral Magnesium. This provides exfoliation, which deeply cleans the pores and removes excess oil. It also helps control shine and breakouts without leaving the skin feeling dry or tight. The NIVEA MEN Oil Control Multi Effect Gel Moisturiser can be combined with the Multi Effect Face Wash to manage the skins oil-moisture balance as well as providing assistance with shine and breakout control.
Finally, we come to shaving, the bane of my existence. The idea of running a blade across my skin is a rather daunting thought. Fortunately, NIVEA makes it a slightly less painful exercise. Their range includes the NIVEA MEN Originals Moisturising Shaving Foam for normal skin and the NIVEA MEN Sensitive Cooling Shaving Gel for sensitive skin. Both of these products provide fantastic lubrication for the razor blade and soften stubble to reduce friction. The Moisturising Shaving Foam contains Aloe Vera to provide moisture to the skin while the Cooling Shaving Gel contains Camomile and Seaweed to prevent irritation and burning.
After shaving, it is necessary to close pores to prevent any breakouts. For this, we have the NIVEA MEN Sensitive Cooling Aftershave Splash and NIVEA MEN Sensitive Cooling Post Shave Balm. Both of these contain Camomile and Seaweed, which helps soothe skin irritation and alleviates dryness and redness. The best part of all these shaving products is that they do all that is expected of them with 0% ethyl alcohol.
So here we are, at a point where men all over the world are embracing skincare. And for some of us (me), the transition into a grooming regime can be daunting to say the least; it is great that NIVEA is here to nudge us the right direction.
