{BEAUTY REVIEW} | Glamglow Waterburst Moisturiser 2

*PR Sample

This week Glamglow’s brand new Waterburst hits shelves. It joins Glowstarter and Volcasmic as the glamorous and disruptive skincare brand’s third inclusion to its moisturiser family.

Korean innovation meets Hollywood allure in Waterburst which blends Jeju Island volcanic water with Triple Hyaluronic Acid Complex, a hero ingredient in plumping up the skin. Jeju Island is renowned for its distinctive bionetwork. The sparkling seawater is purified as it crashes through basaltic rocks that are formed by lava. It is also home to the elusive Blue Nymph Lily that is extracted into Glamglow’s inventive Teoxi formula to help further quench the skin. Waterburst also contains Moisture-Lock Technology that allows for 72 hours of deep hydration.

Waterburst is housed in a jar much like the other Glamglow moisturisers but different in that it is a lovely cerulean shade which invokes the feel of the Jeju Island and its crystal waters.

The actual juice is a very delicate, soft-blue gel-cream. It has the distinctive creamsicle scent of the other Glamglow moisturisers.

Waterburst feels very lightweight and absorbs easily into the skin providing instant hydration. I am not accustomed to gel creams so when I used it for the first few times I really had to get comfortable with the fact that it was so invisible feeling on my skin. I generally use a heavier, oilier moisturiser on my dry skin so it was a different experience. It is, however, extremely quenching and provides powerful, long lasting hydration. I cannot vouch for the 72 hours because I wash my face quite often but I can say that my face didn’t feel tight or itchy after I washed it as it sometimes does. It also provides a lovely base under makeup.

There is only one drawback for me and that is that I have to use a separate sunscreen along with Waterburst. One issue you may have is that the scent is very sweet. I LOVE it, but it isn’t for everyone.

I am still getting used to the fact that such a delicate, lightweight cream can provide so much hydration but I can definitely say that I will continue to use Waterburst and I will repurchase it when it has run out. I have been waiting for the longest time a more nourishing moisturiser from Glamglow. My husband has oily skin and swears by Volcasmic so I was feeling a little left out.

Glamglow’s Waterburst moisturiser retails for R650 and you can find it at selected from this week at selected Woolworths and Truworths stores.

Until next time

Love and sparkles
