{BEAUTY REVIEW} | Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette 1

Hi beauties! The newest member to the Naked family, Naked Cherry, landed at my doorstep some time ago and I’m going to tell you a little more about it. I must admit, I was a little surprised when news of this palette leaked. Naked palettes are usually more neutral toned – not that I am complaining, I absolutely love the shades.

The packaging is beautiful! It’s the same rectangular , sturdy, plastic palette with the generous full-sized mirror but it is in a striking magenta shade and adorned with cherries that resemble the hues inside.

The palette also contains a soft double-sided brush. I love that the Naked palettes come with a brush because it’s great value for money and it’s all you really need to create a really effortless look.

Naked Cherry contains 12 berry toned shades. I was quite stunned that it didn’t contain a bright cherry-red but I am quite fond the popsicle colours that are in the palette which contains 7 mattes and 5 shimmer/metallic.

The shades are:

Hot Spot (ivory matte)

Caution (soft neutral beige matte)

Bang Bang (shimmering pink with gold shift and iridescent micro-sparkle)

Feelz (soft dusty rose matte)

Juicy (soft warm peach)

Turn On (pale metallic rose shimmer)

Ambitious (metallic rose copper)

Bing (deep mauve matte)

Devilish (reddish plum matte)

Young Love (metallic cranberry)

Drunk Dial (deep metallic burgundy)

Privacy (deep brownish-plum matte)

(It works out to about ZAR73 a shade which is not bad at all!)

I love that the palette has some cool-toned shades because I feel we have been flooded with warm-toned colours recently. (Although, I love my Naked Heat)

Feelz is my FAVOURITE and I love to put it all over my lid for a simple, lollipop hued everyday look. If you use Primer Potion beforehand you can just blend one of the shimmers over the inner half for a quick, glam night time eye. The shimmers pop even more exquisitely with a small spritz of All Nighter once they’re on the brush.

The shadows are incredibly pigmented, buttery soft and blend beautifully onto the eyelid. Naked is synonymous with pigment, quality and simplicity and Naked Cherry ticks all the boxes.

If you want to start experimenting with colour then this is the palette for you! It is also a must-have for every UD Junkie.

You can purchase Naked Cherry from Urban Decay for ZAR875. There are also 3 lipsticks and 2 eyeliners in the collection.

Until next time

Love and sparkles

Zaakira xo
