{OOTD} | Caped Crusading

Hi babes! On Thursday I attended the launch of this year’s Skip Fashion Exchange. You can read more about it on my post here. Just before the event I managed to snap a few quick photos of my outfit which I thought I’d share with you.

Jeans – ZARA | Shirt – ZARA (Last year) | Cape – ZARA (Overseas, gift from Mom) | Boots – Old – Stockings – ZARA | Sunglasses – Cotton On

I must admit that this outfit was a very last-minute put together. I had planned to wear a dress but it was just so cold and I chose to layer up instead. I do, however, think it worked out quite well.

These denims were an absolute hit and got so many compliments. I only got them a few days before in the ZARA sale! Because they’re so ripped, edgy and detailed, I decided to go a little more classic with the rest of the outfit. I kept the colours monochrome and the shapes easy and flowy.

I did a lot of layering because it was COLD! I picked up this tuxedo style shirt last year and I think it’s really cool especially for layering because its collared, has short sleeves and you can really play around with the long, button detailed back.

I do recommend investing in basic, fitted, long sleeved vest type tops to go under your clothing. I got this one at Cotton On and I love it because it hugs the body and adds warmth without adding any bulk.

The black cape really made this outfit. I have been wanting a cape style jacket ever since seeing one on Veronica in Riverdale and I was so delighted when my Mom brought this back for me from one of her trips.

I added some stockings and my usual boots to finish it off. I get asked where to buy them so often and I feel a little bad because I got them years ago. Fortunately, this time I found a very similar pair which you can shop online at Planet 54’s online store here.

Hope you are keeping warm!

Until next time
